​@@barleyarrish..the algae and the cyanobacterium are from food and bioburden, i considen it unnecessary to use chemicals to deal with them.. Put a cleanning crew, crabs,snails shrimps and live rock in the tank

@@Simple_Reef The Algae is most welcome I always encourage algal growth. Cyanobacteria is a perpetual problem for me as I do not have a public water supply, but a bore hole and there is a cyanobacteria presence in the water, this is exacerbated by the use of a hose to service the Aquariums which are near the pumphouse. I have UV to sterilise the water for use in the aquarium, but from time to time it is accidentally introduced into an aquarium. I have used chemclean for many years, and have never noticed any problems with the invertibrate tank with it's use. I'm afraid that the fish being quite large preditors preclude the use of many inverts, Prawns are eaten as are moluscs of any size, though I will try a whelk soon the problem with Limpets is that unless they are introduced as very small and young they tend to waste away. The next target fish are wrasse for this tank to give some mid water interest. And of course they will be merciless!

At the moment no, my friend. It's all a bit difficult at the moment. I have a new computer and it is not compatible with my movie making software. So I have to keep switching between Com's and this involves wire conections etc which is a bit of a problem. We had a herd of bovines in the garden so we had a lot of tidying to do. Apart fom that I'm constructing a balistar on our mezzenine. I'm OK and no doubt will be back again as soon as I find some spare time and sort out my com' problem.

Ταΐζω μερικές από τις ανεμώνες με μύες ή αχιβάδα σάρκα την οποία διατηρώ στην κατάψυξη. Όταν κόβω τους μυς και άλλα κομμάτια ψαριού και γαρίδας αφού ταΐσω τις ανεμώνες, πλένω το ξύλο κοπής το ρεζερβουάρ και σβήστε την αντλία για λίγο. ο ψιλά σωματίδια κλπ είναι αυτά που τρώνε. Τα fan worms είναι στη δεξαμενή εδώ και ένα χρόνο περίπου και το οι επιζώντες πάνε πολύ καλά. I feed some of the anemones with mussle or clam flesh which I keep in the freezer. When I cut up the muscle and other bitsof fish and prawn after feeding the anemones I wash the cutting board in the tank and turn off the pump for a while. The fine partcles etc are what they eat. The fan worms have been in the tank for about a year now and the survivors are doing very well.

@@barleyarrish Μπράβο! Και εγώ έτσι ταΐζω..🙂 Αλλά οι σπιριγράφοι δεν ζούνε πάνω απο έξι μήνες στο ενυδρείο μου.. Αυτούς που έχω τώρα ειναι 2 μήνες (ο μέσος όρος) στο ενυδρείο και τα πάνε πολύ καλά! Ελπίζω να ζήσουν αρκετά, το ενυδρείο τώρα ειναι πολύ καλά στρωμένο, έκλεισε 2 χρόνια λειτουργίας!

@@barleyarrish ..επίσης τον τελευταίο μήνα βάζω λίγη σκόνη σπιρουλίνας(αυτήν για ανθρώπινη κατανάλλωση)διαλυμένη σε λίγο νερό, την ρίχνω και κλείνω για 30 λεπτά την ροή. Η ποσότητα σκόνη σπιρουλίνας στα 100 λίτρα που ρίχνω ειναι ίση όσο ο όγκος ενός κόκκου φακής(το όσπριο)..

Επίσης ανακατεύω καλά σε 1 ποτήρι νερό ενυδρείου μικρή ποσότητα(όσο 4 κόκκοι ρυζιού)σπιρουλίνα σε σκόνη και ρίχνω, η σπιρουλίνα σε σκόνη ειναι αυτή που τρώμε ή πίνουμε και εμείς απο μαγαζί με οικολογικά τρόφημα.

Never heard of Warren, so i just had a listen. Well my first impression was it appears to be done in the Good, down the Pub rock cover band style. A bit ploddy and lacking brightness, of the Yardbirds and the freshness of Ernie K. Never the less it's all about what the listener likes.

Thank you Jonathan, I look at it this way, Hair Algae is part of the marine environment and whilst it does affect the appearance and not always in a wellcome way, the spider crabs for instance. It does produce a micro environment that makes a suitable refuge for small cratures that can provide food. Anyway that is my excuse. There is an occasional problem I have which is blue green algae which is bacterial in nature, and usually appears as a result of contamination from my water supply, which is a natural spring. This I usually control with UV in my top up water and change water, but if it emerges in the tank I use a product called Chemiclean, which clears it up in a matter of days and so far in it's use I have seen no ill effects. By the way Jonathan have you heard anything of Simon, he has not posted for a while, I hope he is OK.

@@Simple_Reef The problem is this boat is a bit of a pig to anchor and drifting my camera over the reefs would be asking for trouble, however I've found video taken on a reef in this sea area, I have never seen this footage before and it shows a whole range of sea-life including soft and hard coral, encrusting jewel anemones, plumose anemones, many different fish species and more, a truly beautiful video. ruclips.net/video/aXBVLkCgKns/видео.html
